Waterless Car Wash
Waterless car wash spray, silicone-free Dry Wash SF and a 1:100 concentrate. Clean dust off paint, glass and chrome without a hose or bucket.
Shop the range →A waterless car wash cleans your car with a spray and two microfibre towels. You spray one panel, wipe the dust off in straight strokes, and buff it to a streak-free gloss. There is no hose, no bucket and nothing to rinse, so you can wash in basement parking, in a society that has banned hose washing, or on a road trip.
A hosepipe wash can use 150 to 300 litres of water. A waterless wash uses the spray in the bottle.
Which waterless car wash do you need?
KKE makes three waterless washes. They clean the same way; they differ in how you buy them and what you do next.
Waterless Car Wash Concentrate
Mix your own spray from a concentrate.
- Dilutes 1:100: 5 ml makes a 500 ml spray bottle
- 500 ml makes about 50 litres of spray
- 500 ml bottle or 5 litre can
- Mix it in an empty spray bottle
KKE Plus Waterless Car Wash
Spray straight from the bottle.
- No mixing, no measuring
- Light green-apple scent
- 750 ml bottle or 5 litre can
- Safe on paint, glass, chrome and trim
Dry Wash SF
Before polish, wax or a coating.
- Ready to use, 500 ml
- Leaves a clean base for whatever goes on next
- Use it right before polishing, waxing, a ceramic coating or PPF
- Streak-free gloss on its own, too
You will also need microfibre towels: at least two per car, one to wipe and one to buff. Our Microfiber Towel is split microfibre, soft and lint-free.
How a waterless wash lifts dirt without water
Dust does not just sit on paint. Static and a thin film of oily road residue hold it down. A waterless wash breaks that hold and then carries each particle off the paint in a slippery shell, so the towel picks it up instead of pushing it across the clear coat.
- 1Bonded
Static and an oily road film hold each speck of dust against the clear coat.
- 2Loosened
Surfactants in the spray creep under the dust and break that bond.
- 3Wrapped
Lubricants wrap each speck in a slippery shell, off the paint.
- 4Lifted
The microfibre pile lifts the wrapped dust away; a thin lubricating layer stays on the paint.
That is why the two rules of waterless washing matter. Use enough spray, so the shell does not break, and use no pressure, so the towel glides. If dirt is not lifting, add more spray and wait a moment; never push harder.
When to use waterless, and when to rinse first
Waterless is made for
- Dust, pollen and light road film
- Cars parked in basements, stilt parking or the street
- Societies and apartments where hose washing is not allowed
- Keeping a car clean between full washes
- Offices, road trips and anywhere without a tap
Rinse first when there is
- Mud, sand or caked dirt on the paint
- Thick spray-back on the lower doors and bumpers after rain
Either way, work in the shade on a cool panel. On a hot bonnet the spray dries before it can lift the dirt.
Mixing the waterless car wash concentrate
The Waterless Car Wash Concentrate is the same cleaning chemistry before the water goes in. Diluted correctly, it works just like a ready-to-use waterless wash, and one bottle replaces about 100 bottles of ready-to-use spray.
| Mix | Ratio | How |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 1:100 | 5 ml of concentrate in a 500 ml spray bottle, then top up with clean water |
| Small bottle | 1:100 | 2 ml of concentrate in a 200 ml spray bottle, then top up with clean water |
| Light dust only | 1:400 | 5 ml of concentrate in 2 litres of clean water |
- 500 ml makes about 50 litres
- 5 litres makes about 500 litres
- Never use it neat on paint
Start at 1:100 and go weaker only for light dust. Mark the bottle with the ratio so it is never mixed up with another spray, use clean water (hard, gritty water can leave spots), and mix small batches you will use within a few weeks. An empty 200 ml spray bottle is the easy way to start.
How to use a waterless car wash
- Check the dirtDust and light road grime only. Rinse mud or sand off first.
- Work in shadeOn a cool panel, so the spray stays wet long enough to lift the dirt.
- Spray one small sectionAbout half a door or a quarter of the bonnet, until it is evenly wet.
- Wipe in straight linesFold the towel in four and wipe gently in straight, overlapping strokes. No circles, no pressure.
- Flip and buffTurn to a clean, dry face, or pick up a second towel, and buff to a streak-free shine.
- Roof down, fresh facesRoof and glass first, lower panels and bumpers last. Turn to a fresh face as soon as one looks dirty.

The towel decides the result
The spray lifts the dirt; the towel takes it away. A dirty or stiff towel drags grit across the paint however good the spray is, so treat towels as part of the wash.
- Fold in four: eight clean faces
- One towel to wipe, one to buff
- 4 to 6 towels for a whole car
- Glass gets its own towel
Wash microfibre only with microfibre, in warm (not hot) water and without household fabric softener, which clogs the fibres so they smear. Soft Bliss is a microfibre detergent with a built-in, microfibre-safe softener that keeps our towels soft and absorbent.

Waterless car wash questions
What is a waterless car wash?
A spray that cleans a car without a hose or bucket. Surfactants loosen the dust and lubricants wrap each particle, so a microfibre towel lifts it off the paint instead of dragging it. A second, dry towel then buffs the panel to a streak-free gloss.
Will a waterless car wash scratch my paint?
Not on dust and light road grime, used with clean microfibre, plenty of spray and light, straight strokes. Rinse mud, sand or caked dirt off first: heavy loose grit can scratch under any cloth.
How do I dilute the waterless car wash concentrate?
Put 5 ml of concentrate in a clean 500 ml spray bottle and top it up with clean water. That is 1:100, the standard mix. For a 200 ml bottle use 2 ml. For light dust you can go as weak as 1:400. Never use the concentrate neat on paint.
How much does one bottle of concentrate make?
At 1:100, a 500 ml bottle makes about 50 litres of spray, or 100 bottles of 500 ml. The 5 litre can makes about 500 litres.
What is the difference between Dry Wash SF and KKE Plus Waterless Car Wash?
Both are ready to use straight from the bottle. Dry Wash SF is silicone-free, so it leaves a clean base for whatever goes on next: use it right before polishing, waxing, a ceramic coating or PPF. KKE Plus Waterless Car Wash is the everyday spray, with a light green-apple scent, in 750 ml and 5 litre packs.
Can I use a waterless wash in direct sunlight?
Work in the shade on a cool panel. On a hot bonnet the spray dries before it can lift the dirt, and it can streak.
Is it safe on glass, chrome and plastic trim?
Yes. KKE waterless washes are safe on paint and clear coat, glass, chrome and plastic trim, so one bottle does the whole outside of the car.
Can a waterless wash replace a normal car wash?
For regular cleaning between washes, yes: it is made for the dust a parked car collects every day. A very muddy car still needs a rinse first.
Do you supply doorstep car wash services and detailers?
Yes. The 5 litre concentrate and the 5 litre KKE Plus Waterless Car Wash are made for doorstep car wash services, detailing studios and fleets. Message us on WhatsApp for trade supply.
